UPDATE INAUGURATION 2013 : TWO OF THE FOUR FORMER PRESIDENTS AND NO OPPPOSITION NOMINEE ATTENDING

CBS News is reporting that only two of the four living former Presidents of the United States will be attending the second term Inauguration of President Barack Obama on Monday.  Former President Jimmy Carter, and former President Bill Clinton, will be present; Former President George H.W. Bush, and former President George W. Bush, will not be in attendance.  The senior President Bush, 88; was released just this week from being hospitalized in Houston, Texas; since November 23, 2012.  No reason is being given for why the junior President Bush will not be present for the Inaugural. The 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, who lost the General Election to President Obama, will also not be attending.  It will be the first time since 1993, that the presidential candidate defeated in the General Election will not be present at the Inauguration of the victor. The three Republican and two Democratic nominees not being inaugurated President between 1993-2009, were President, Vice President, and Senators, at the time of their losses.  Mitt Romney like his Democratic predecessor Michael Dukakis in 1989, were Governors, State not Federal officeholders.............tdp
