THIS WEEK OF PRIESTS STUDY 2013 DAYS IN CITRUS HEIGHTS.............
With the last day of Priests' Study Days 2013 at Christ the King Retreat Center in Citrus Heights resuming this morning, I will with my brother diocesan priests and the Bishop today for the Closing Eucharist. It has been two and a half days of taking in the schedule Communal Prayer, Liturgies,Topical Presentations, Fraternal Interactions, and shared Meals. I enjoy the opportunity to see and talk to my priestly brothers of all ages these gatherings provide. It is a pro-active replenishing of the spiritual and social bond of shared experiences that is an essential nature of ordained ministry, and the Catholic Priesthood of Jesus Christ - the unity in community of being together and not detached or apart. In the words of the 16th Century poet John Donne, "No man is an island".............Fr/ Troy David
