At its inception Today was trailblazing and groundbreaking television programming, as only test paqtterns were broadcast in the morning hours. Sixty years later all news oriented broadcast and cable networks have a similar morning program, nationally and internationally. Just this week CBS Television unveiled the newwest in a long string of morning shows since the mid 1950's to compete with NBC's Today Show. As the first and still number one rated program by which Americans begin their day. with news, information, and entertainment, at the top of the morning, a very Happy 60th Anniversary to the program famous for the words, " But first, This is Today on NBC"............Fr.
