AMERICAN DECEMBER SALES AND RETAIL TOTALS FOR 2011 IN AN UPSURGE............

As the American Economy shows slow signs of improvement, December retail sales figures were well up in December, $400.6 billion; and for 2011, a record high $4.7 trillion in retail sales in the United States. These figures indicate an increase in consumer confidence, as the national and worldwide economies continue to struggle in the fifth year of the greatest international economic depression comparable to the Great Depression of the 1930's. With the American UnEmployment Rate dropping last month to 8.5%, and Foreclosures in December at 1.9%; a slow but sure Economic Recovery seems to be taking hold.
