MY IRISH PRIESTLY COLLEAGUE REVEREND FATHER OLIVER MAHER SETTLES INTO BEING PARISH PRIEST OF URLINGFORD, COUNTY KILKENNY...........
My cherished Irish priestly colleague and beloved personal friend, Reverend Father, Oliver Maher, P.P., has moved from being Administrator of St. Mary's Cathedral, in Kilkenny city, to becoming the Parish Priest of the Parish of Urlingford, eighteen miles from the Cathedral, on the Kilkenny / Tipperary Counties boundary. I spoke briefly with Fr. Oliver this morning, to check in on how his first week in Urlingford has gone. He is in great form, and successfully setting into his new environs, having a very good first Sunday as P.P. Urlingford,, is the native town, and the family home, of Msgr. Edward J. Kavanagh, a place I have been well acquainted with the past thirty years. My thoughts, prayers, best wishes, solidarity, fraternity, support, and friendship, are with Oliver across the miles. God Bless You, Fr. Oliver, as he proceed into this next chapter of your life, faith, and priestly ministry. Ad Multos Annos...........Fraternally In The Priesthood Of Jesus Christ, Fr. Troy
