IN ATTENDANCE AT MONSIGNOR PATRICK J. O'NEILL'S VIGIL, FUNERAL MASS AND BURIAL IN VALLEJO...........
I rode down and back to Vallejo, Solano County, CA. with Msgr. Edward J. Kavanagh, for an overnight stay for the Vigil, Funeral Mass, Burial, and Luncheon Reception, for our fellow St. Kieran's Seminary alumnus, and Dean of the Sacramento diocesan Delegation of Kiernsmen, Msgr. Patrick J. O'Neill. Retired Bishop Weigand presided at the Vigil Thursday night with 8 priests present; and Bishop Jaime Sotro presided at the Funeral Mass Friday morning, Msgr. Kavanagh, being Principal Concelebrant and Homilist, with 44 priest joining in the Mass. One of five of Msgr. O'Neill's nephews, named after him, Patrick O'Neill, who had been his primary healthcare overseer the past three years with his family in New Jersey, USA the past three years, spoke of his uncle's life and priestly ministry at both services...........Fr.
