AN UPDATE ON AFGHANISTAN WAR AMERICAN FACTS AND FIGURES..........

CBS Evening News with Katie Couric tonight, with a report on the White House Review soon of the Surge Strategy at the 1 year mark under General Petraeus, and from the start of our Afghanistan War in Ocyober 2001, to the present it is now America's longest war ever, 9 years, 2 months, and 3 days, and continuing; having cost to date $400 billion to the American Treaury; and at a loss of 1,421 American troops.  This is what the fight for the cause of Peace and Terrorism, are the real costs of War.  And an end to our nation's  involvement seems to continue to be stretched out from a supposed end in 2011, now to extended to 2014.  The Soviet Union was bogged down by the Afghans for a full decade 1979-1989.  Did we not learn better about the cragmire that is Afghanistan ?  Especially its corupt, and inept, Karzai Government..........Fr.  Troy
