MONDAY OF CHRISTMAS WEEK : SQUARING AWAY THE WORK OF 2010..........
It is the Monday of the week in the Octave of Christmas, but the work of pastoral ministry and parish administration, continues. That means a morning to midafternoon flurry of parish office jobs to be done. Checking the Christmas Collection and Sunday Offertory counting sheet; working with the Parish Bookkeeper in getting parish bills paid; answeing the rectory door and phone; as Tuesday is only day the Parish Secretary will be working. As it is a part-time position, he is only her for 15 hours a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Like last Thursday and Friday, this Thursday and Friday are diocesan holidays for Christmas and New Year's. I have one last scheduled appointment away from the parish, and will return for dinner and a relaxing Christmas evening chillaxing in the spirit of the Season.....More about this in my next blog column.....Happy 3rd Day Of Christmas To All, Fr. Troy
