SAILING INTO SEPTEMBER NEAR KILKENNY'S RIVER NORE..........

Two thirds of 2010 complete, we sail into September, and as Oliver and I start it we enjoyed a, "lie in", until between 9 and 10 am.  After a light breakfast, he got stuck into work, and I spent time on my computer,after watching CNN and Sky News analysis of President Obama's speech, and former British Prime Minister Blair's memoirs, which were published Wednesday.  Msgr. Kavanagh arrived promptly at 1 pm for lunch, which we went to The Newpark Hotel. for.  Then we drove out to Archersrath Convalescent tCare Centre, to visit Msgr. Tommy Maher, Parish Priest Emeritus of Mullinivat, and Former President of St. Kieran's College.  An updated tour, Oliver guided, of Kilkenny City, including a chance to see the new St. Patrick's Parish Centre, and its companion church, St. Fiacre's, followed, then back to the Cathedral presbytery for a multi-hour chat and refreshments, with EJK.  After taking him back to Urlingford, we returned to the presbytery for a light takeaway dinner and made an early night of it staying in..........Until Tomorrow And An Update On The USUAL SUSPECTS,   Fr.  Troy
