A POST TRANSPLANT, "USUAL SUSPECTS" DINNER PARTY IN KILKENNY..........
The "Usual Suspects", is the title given to the group of priests and lay persons who are in our Kilkenny circle of friends. It has been my 23 year custom to host a dinner with them on my priestly holidays in Ireland, in reciprocation for their continuous generosity and hospitality. Tonight, I am hosting a post transplant dinner party for them at the acclaimed, award winning, 'Langton's Pub and Restaurant, which has won top national honors, several times over the past two and a half decades. Our party of twelve being, Father Oliver Maher, ADM of St. Mary's Cathedral in Kilkenny; Father Daniel Bollard, Parish Priest, of Thomastown, which is ten miles south of Kilkenny city, who was our spiritual director at St. Kieran's Seminary; Monsignor Edward J. Kavanagh, of Urlingford, County Kilkenny, and Sacramento, California; his nephew J.J. Kavanagh and his wife, Liz; Mrs. Brigid Mullins, and her married daughter, Sinead Mullins Campion; Geraldine and Kevin Butler; Patricia and Michael Shortall; and yours truly enjoyed ourselves, remembering and realizing the bonds of friendship, fraternity, fellowship, and faith, that we celebrate and solidify, each time we come together. .SLAINTE !!!!!
