CHRISM MASS OF THE OILS DAY IN THE SACRAMENTO DIOCESE..............

Today is the annual Chrism Mass in the Diocese of Sacramento, which includes a morning to afternoon priests conference led by newly ordained Auxiliary Bishop Myron Cotta at St.  Joseph's Church in Clarksburg; and a Social and Dinner followed by the Mass of the Oils; where Bishop Jaime Soto will preside joined by his Auxiliary  and Bishops Emeritus, along  with priest concelebrants, and in the presence  of the  college of deacons, consecrated religious, and the assembled laity.  In addition to the consecrating of the Sacred Chrism Oil, Oil of the Catechumens, and the Oil of the Sick, at this Eucharistic Liturgy, the diocesan and religious priests present will renew our Commitment to presbyteral ministry.  I will be in attendance with my brother priests and the People of God gathered in the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in downtown Sacramento..............Fr.
