MY APPOINTMENT TODAY WITH DR. MARTIN.............
I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Randy Martin at Sutter Roseville this morning and he concurs with Dr. Mahmood. the neurologist; that I am stabilizing and improving after my mild stroke incident on May 31st. As he has passionately advocated on my behalf the past 17 months, Dr. Martin agrees there is good reason to return me to parish and or community ministry. I can only hope and pray to terminate this over extensive involuntary exile in what for me is the geriatric twilight zone of Mercy McMahon Terrace, where I have been inappropriately relegated the past year and a half. Translating the doctors professional prognosis into productive and pro-active diocesan action diocesan action is the greater challenge. In coming weeks I will move out and proceed to resume my priestly ministry, exercising all available options if I must, to preserve the servant leadership in the Sacramento Diocese I was ordained a priest to carry out from being further squandered and marginalized.............tdp
