His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI delivered stunning news from the Vatican this morning announcing he will resign as the Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, effective February 28th. Benedict XVI, age 85, in the eighth year of his Pontificate, cited a lack of strength to continue carrying out his duties as the reason for his resignation.
