On Every Tuesday for the past thirty years without missing even once, St. Philomene's Parish, in the Arden-Arcade area of Sacramento has provided meals for the poor, hungry, and less fortunate, who have come through the Church Hall's door and fed them a cooked dinner meal, in a ministry named "Sharing God's Bounty". This week Bounty volunteers and recipients marked the serving of the 1,000,000 ! that's right - One Million Meals served faithfully over the past 30 Years. Kudos and Congrats to them on such a generous, selfless, and unbroken, response during the past three decades in feeding the physical hungers, and addressing the social and spiritual needs of the downtrodden in the Parish and the Arden-Arcade area. Strikingly the dedication of Jim + Rita Mize, and their selfless co-workers in the Sharing God's Bounty Ministry, has been so completely devoted to feeding others in meed. that on the one Tuesday night they were unable to provide a meal due to the flooding of the church hall floor, they served sandwiches to hungry, standing outside the building. This vitally pro-active outreach ministry has continued through three the time of three Pastors of St. Philomeme's Parish - Monsignor Patrick Nolan; my Pastor, Father Jerry Ryle, with whom I was assigned there five years ago on the Ministry's 25th Anniversary; and currently, my seminary and ordination classmate, Father Eduino Silveira... Outstanding Work 'St. Philomene's' and "Bounty" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............Fr. Troy
