Top of the morning news reports today, the first day of Winter are that President Obama has decided to choose U.S. Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and the 2004 Democratic Presidential Nominee; as Secretary of State in his second Administration. With the averting of the Fiscal Cliff crises still a primary focus, a written statement announcing Kerry's nomination, was said to be coming today earlier tHouse.his morning, but now NBC News is reporting that a joint appearance of President Obama and Senator Kerry, announcing hisa Secretary of State appointment will take place at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, from the White House.
