As we anticipate the Messiah's Coming on this Wednesday of the 3rd Week of Advent, the third 'O' Antiphon, "O Rod of Jesse's Stem", speaks prophetically to the relationship Jesus Christ shares with the House of David, from whom the Promised Messiah was foretold to come. Jesus as God Made Man, is of the lineage of the House of David, with Joseph of Nazareth his human foster-father being a descendant of the lineage of King David. As we mark this Advent day in prayer and preparedness for Christmas 2012-13, with six days remaining before our great annual feast celebrating the Holy Birth of the Savior, let us remember to affirm our Catholic-Christian and Jewish belief that God will and for us who are Christ's Disciples, has sent the long awaited Messiah; who we as Christian Believers acknowledge and embrace in Jesus The Christ, God's Co-Eternal Son, and our Redeemer............Fr.
