LIGHTING THE 1st ADVENT CANDLE OF......"HOPE"............

As the Season of Advent begins on this First Sunday of the 2013 Liturgical Year, we light the first purple candle surrounding the Advent Wreath.  In these days of Anticipation and Preparation for the two and three fold Coming of Jesus The Christ, is purple candle we light first today, represents the theological virtue of Hope.  We Hope for the Coming of our Savior, the Redeemer of Humankind, the Co-Eternal Son of God.  We Hope for a better World, and we Hope for an even brighter and glorious Kingdom of God.  We Hope to believe and become greater Disciples of the One who fulfills and completes our long awaited expectation for the Messiah of Salvation, Who is, the Universal King of All Creation.  Hope in God to discover and experience the Blessings of Jesus' Holy Birth this Christmas and the Promise of Life Everlasting, as we journey on the paths of Time to the Light of Eternity that will unite the Divine and Humankind Forever.  Happy First Week of Advent as you walk in the Light of Hope............tdp
