Representative Debbie Wasserman Schulz, Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee called the 46th quadrennial Democratic National Convention to order exactly at 5 p.m. Eastern, 2 p.m. Pacific Time; so they are underway in the Time Warner Cable Arena, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She begins her welcome saying as they gather to renominate President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, that Democrats will continue to grow the American Economy not from the top down, but from the middle class outward, from bottom to up............tdp
