FIRST LADY, SAN ANTONIO MAYOR, FIRST MAJOR SPEAKERS AT DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION TONIGHT............As
As the Delegates to the 2012 Democratic National Convention gather in the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina for the nominating forum's opening session they will hear from the First Lady of the United States and the Mayor of San Antonio, Texas. The will be the final two speechmakers of twenty persons scheduled to address the DNC on this first day, once it gets underway at 5 p.m. Eastern ; 2 p.m. Pacific Time, and will be convened by Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Representative Debbie Wasserman Schulz of Florida. The Permanent Chairman of the Convention is Los Angeles, California Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Mrs. Obama will deliver a reflection on her husband's work on behalf of the American people and drive home his commitment to continue moving forward for the betterment of the country in the next four years. Michelle Obama is not expected to mention Mitt Romney by name. Mayor Castro, who will give the Democratic Convention Keynote Address, is expected to contrast what President Obama and the Democrats offer Americans, with what Governor Romney and the Republicans propose to do for America, if they win the Presidential Election. Julian Castro, 37, will be introduced by his twin brother onto the national stage in a Convention speech opportunity not unlike that of then U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obama in 2004, or then Mayor Hubert H. Humphrey in 1948............Fr. Troy
