AFTER A STRONG OPENING SESSION DAY 2 OF DNC PROMISES MORE SUPPORT FORV PRESIDENT OBAMA............
Off to a strong start at yesterday's opening session of the Democratic National Convention in the Time Warner Cable Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, with very well received speeches by First Lady Michelle Obama and San Antonio, Texas Mayor Julian Castro; Day 2 begins with even brighter promise as former President Bill Clinton addresses the Convention on behalf of the re-election of Obama-Biden, and will place the President's name in nomination. Clinton will speak in the 10 p.m. Eastern prime time hour, which will be followed by the Roll Call of States. Prior to Clinton's speech, House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi from California; and Massachusetts U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, will address the Convention. In an unusual move, an NFL opening of the season football game will be played on a Wednesday tonight, on the NBC Television network so as not to conflict with President Obama's Acceptance Speech tomorrow night, the first time since 1948, NFL teams have played on a Wednesday. The memorial tribute to Senator Edward M. Ted Kennedy, last night has continued with media interviews of the late Senator's two sons, Teddy Jr. and Patrick, speaking of their father's "legislative successes", as "his legacy", and vowing every member of the Kennedy family are working for President Obama's re-election for keeping his commitment to fulfilling their father's decades long goal of universal healthcare by enactment of the National Health Care Law. (Obamacare)............Fr. Troy
