THE EUCHARISTIC AND PRIESTHOOD INSTITUTIONS OF HOLY "MAUNDY" THURSDAY............

As our Catholic-Christian Lenten journey of Repentance and Reconciliation with Jesus and others concludes on this Holy Thursday and we enter the solemnity of these most sacred and substantial days in history of Creation and our Salvation through the Paschal Mystery of Christ; our prayerful and liturgical focus this evening is upon the mandatum of  His instituting the Holy Eucharist and the ordained Priesthood of Jesus.  As the faithful gather tonight to Do n Memory of Jesus the Christ, the New Covenant of Love that the traditional Passover Seder being celebrated with the Apostles Jesus transformed into the Christian Sacrament of Thanksgiving,  commemorating and renewing the Passion,Death, and Resurrection of the Lord, may you and your families share the holy meal of the Mass of the Lord's Supper with your local Community of Believers.   I will spend time today through the mid-morning visiting with some of my brother priest friends, and then Ted Dahlberg is coming to drive me to my introductory appointment with my new primary care physician, Dr, Reddy.  Then tonight at 7 p.m., I will head across the street to Sacred Heart Church for the Mass of the Lord's Supper............Fr.  Troy
