A DICKENS PRE CHRISTMAS NIGHT ON TCM...........
Having returned from the Penitential Service and Confessions tonight at Our Lady of Assumption Church, in Carmichael with seven of my priestly colleagues, including Assumption's Pastor, Reverend Father Brendan McKeefry, Parochial Vicar Reverend Father Hector Coria, it was a wonderful evening of priestly fraternity, and sacramental interaction with the priestly people of Assumption Parish. Turner Classic Movies, TCM is featuring three British films from the 1940's based on the works of Charles Dickens. "Oliver Twist", "Nicholas Nickelby", and "Great Expectations". They serve as a prologue to the various productions of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", to be aired on Christmas. i arrived back at OLOL, just in time for the start of "Nicholas Nickelby", which I will now settle into before bed...........Fr.
