THE NEW TELEVISION AND DVD DOCUMENTARY SERIES, "CATHOLICISM"...........
News is starting to spread about the new television and dvd documentary series, "Catholicism", by Father Robert Barron; which will be featured on EWTN, and was previewed today on KVIE Channel 6, here in Sacramento. From the preview I have watched, and the materials I have read about the series, it looks to be very well done and a helpful resource in reviewing, discerning, and discovering the heritage, truth, and beauty of our Catholic-Christian Faith. Bishop Jaime Soto and the Diocese of Sacramento's Catholic Foundation and the Catholic Store on Broadway in Sacramento, co-sponsored today's KVIE preview episode of, "Catholicism", by Father Robert Barron. Fr. Barron is a well versed author, speaker, and theologian from the Archdiocese of Chicago. He is also the founder of the ministry, "Word On Fire". The Catholic Store in Sacramento, in conjunction with Monsignor Edward J. Kavanagh, are also sponsoring a special preview presentation of the first two parts of, "Catholicism", on Sunday December 11, at 2:15 p.m., in the Kavanagh Hall, at 5905 Franklin Boulevard, in South Sacramento. Admission is Free. George Weigel, the renowned Catholic author and biographer of Pope John II, writes of this new documentary series, "Catholicism' could well become one of the most significant efforts ever to advance what Pope John Paul II called 'The New Evangelization' ". Discover for yourselves all that it has to offer to increasing and furthering our Catholic-Christian Faith...........In The Peace And Unity Of Christ, Fr. Troy
