EGYPTIANS EAGERLY TURNOUT IN DROVES TO VOTE IN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS...........
Egyptian citizens turned out in overwhelming numbers on Monday and Tuesday, to vote in the two day Parliamentary election, the first vote of the Egyptian electorate, since the overthrow of former President Hosni Mubarak early in the year. Although impatient activist protesters continue to press for immediate relinquishing by the military of the government and return to civilian rule and an open election for President, the response to this week's parliamentary election seems to indicates the majority of Egyptians are willing to wait longer for a presidential election. This week's elections were two months overdue from the initial pronouncements after Mubarak's fall from power, and it as yet, uncertain as to how committed the transitional military leadership of the country is to stepping down and allowing a civilian elected president take charge. All this in the unfolding saga of the Arab Spring and the present and future of the government Egypt will have and the relationship the United States, Israel, and the nations of the world will have with the country of Egypt...........Fr.
