THE 34TH SUNDAY AND WEEK OF ORDINARY TIME - LAST WEEK OF THE 2011 CHURCH YEAR...........
The Catholic-Christian Liturgical Year of fifty two weeks annually, is comprised of thirty four weeks of Ordinary Time and eighteen weeks of seasonal observance - Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter. The final Sunday of the Liturgical Year is the Solemnity of Christ The King, which we celebrate tomorrow. It also marks the 34th Sunday and Week in Ordinary Time, the conclusion of the 2011 Liturgical Year. After celebrating this coming week, which includes the American ThanksGiving holiday; next Sunday brings the First Sunday of Advent and the beginning of Liturgical Year 2012. As we come to the close of this curent Church Year, how fruitfully and faithfully have you professed and practiced your Discipleship in Jesus The Christ, the King of All Creation ? However much or little you have practiced your Catholic-Christian Faith this past year, take the opportunity this coming week and the approaching Seasons of Advent and Christmas, provide all of us to truly acclaim Jesus Christ Our Sovereign King !!!!!!!!!!!...........Fr.
