GOVERNOR CHRISTIE AND FORMER GOVERNOR PALIN WILL NOT RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012 - THE G.O.P. CONTINUES TO SEARCH FOR A POLITICAL MESSIAH...........
With the decision yesterday by first term New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and the announcement today of former Alaska Governor, and 2008 vice presidential nominee, Sarah Palin, not to run for the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination; the current field of 8 G.O.P. candidates may be it. Whether the majority of Republican Party primary voters can find themselves satisfied of Romney, Cain, Perry, Paul, Bachman, Gingrich, Santorum, or Huntsman, remains to be seen, as former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, is polling no greater than 17%-25% support; Texas Governor Rick Perry, the mid August to late September flavor of the month finding his support melting; Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachman, winner of the August Iowa Straw Poll, having her support flagging; Businessman Herman Cain, making an early October 2011 surge; and the other four candidates lagging in breakthrough support; it seems the golden opportunity they feel the 2012 Presidential Election is for them to win back The White House, skepticism and disappointment with this field persists. The filing deadlines for state primaries and caucuses are closing in, and meeting necessary electoral requirements increasingly difficult to meet, it is from this field of 8, that next year's Republican standardbearer will be nominated. With just about eleven months to the Republican National Convention, deciding on that nominee possessing an electable chance to win The White House. Can they do from this current field, or is their another preferable political messiah, the party faithful can convince to get into the race, as the window of opportunity closes ?...........Fr. Troy
