CONCELEBRATION, CONVERSATION, AND CONVIVIALITY, ON THIS 9 - 11 10TH ANNIVERSARY DAY...........
Father Tony Traynor concelebrated the 8:30 a.m. Mass this morning, at which I presided, prayed, and preached, on the beginning of the new Parish Year, the 10th Anniversary of the 9 - 11 terrorist attacks, and on this 90th Birthday of Sacramento Bishop Emeritus Francis Anthony Quinn. Following my breakfast and a brief rest period, I returned to the Parish Hall, to join the Handicapbles Ministry of the Sacramento Diocese, for the lunch so generously prepared for them as always by the Knights and Ladies of St. Peter Claver, from OLOL, and four other Sacramento area parishes. I also received a call from Father Oliver Maher in Kilkenny, where he wrapping up serving in St. Mary's Cathedral since 1998, the past eleven years as ADM, and preparing to become Parish Priest of Urlingford, County Kilkenny, on the Tipperary boundary, on October 16. A well rounded, but chillaxing Sunday of concelebration, conversations, and conviviality, on this solemn day of commemoration and remembrance...........Fr. Troy
