FRIDAY'S TERRORIST BOMBING IN OSLO, NORWAY.....CITY OF WORLD PEACE...........
A double bombing explosion in Oslo, Norway on Friday, killed ninety two Norwegians, 7 persons in downtown Oslo; and eighty-five children, at a popular, political, summer camp outside the city. The prime suspect for setting off the bombings is a 32 year old Norwegian, Anders Brehring Breivik, described by authorities in Oslo, as a right wing Christian activist, with a disdain for Muslims. Such a person, is by definition, oxymoronic, as Christians as Believers in Jesus, and the Living and True God of All Creation, cannot be true disciples of Christ and terrorists. Terrorism, hatred, violence, and murder, are juxtaposed to the Gospel of Life and Love, proclaimed by Jesus the Christ. Oslo, a city known around the world for being the location of the awarding of the annual Nobel Peace Prize, has been shattered by this horrendous tragedy, striking at the natural sociability and serenity of the Norwegian People. Sadly, this terrorist act underscores the reality of sin and selfishness present in the hearts and minds of warped individuals and groups, of every stripe, culture, and national origin in today's World. Our thoughts and prayers, solidarity, and support, are with the familes, loved ones, and communities, so deeply impacted by this senseless selfish act, against these nearly eight dozen Norwegians, seven dozen plus, innocent, promising young people, who had the potential to be the future leaders of Norway. As for Anders Brehring Breivik, should he be found guilty of this oddious crime, be brought to justice as he is held accountable for the travesty inflicted on his fellow citizens while proclaiming discipleship in Jesus Christ...........Peace, Prayers, Solidarity, Support, Fr.
