THE 16TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME BRINGS JULY BAPTISMS, AND HOSPITALITY SUNDAY CELEBRATING FR. PIUS' BIRTHDAY TO OLOL...........
In the middle of July and summer days, in the midst of Ordinary Time, we celebrate this 16th Sunday. As we go into the parabolic Field, of possession and opportunity, Jesus calls upon us His Disciples, to selflerssly use our personal possessions to provide a positive response to the everyday opportunities to serve not only our best interests, but the common good of all. If media mogul, Rupert Murdoch and his now increasingly evident, corrupt associates, had lived their personal and professional lives by that golden rule, they, and we, would not be confronted with the unfolding fallout, caused by their crimes. How are you,. personally, professionally, communally, utilizing your own 'Field of Possessions and Opportunities ?.....As I preside at our 10:30 a.m. Mass this morning at OLOL Church, I will also be officiating at our five newest Parish Baptisms, at the Mass, as we now schedule our baptisms. Also, today is our monthly Hospitality Sunday, as we gather for coffee, donuts, and juice, in the Parish Hall following this morning's Masses. Fr. Pius Amah, presently our Parochial Vicar, will be feted at both of these hospitality receptions, in celebration of his 53rd Birthday, which he celebrated on Monday July 11. As I blog, I am undergoing my a.m. antiobiotic infusion, with the first volunreer and trainer of other volunteers, Ray Riehle, facilitating this treatment. He is attending the 8:30 a.m. Mass, while I do my treatment and have my breakfast...........Until Later In Jesus The Lord, Fr. Troy
