THE NEXT TO LAST DAY OF EASTER 2011 - ST. BARNABAS, FATHER OLIVER, AND BAPTISMAL INSTRUCTIONS...........
St. Barnabas, was a companion of St. Paul, in his ministry of evangelization, following Paul's Conversion to Christ and the Church. Barnabas was such a holy, faithful, and devout believer in, and follower of, Jesus himself - that as he accompanied St. Paul on his missionary journeys, he became thought of as an, Apostle. Today, Catholic-Christians, liturgically celebrate and commemorate, this outstanding Disciple of the Lord Jesus. My Irish colleagues and close friends, Reverend Father Daniel Bollard, P.P. of Thomastown, County Kilkenny; and Reverend Father Oliver Maher, ADM., of St. Mary's Cathedral, in Kilkenny, Ireland, are celebrating their 39th and 23rd Ordination Anniversaries. Kudos and Adultos Annos, Beloved Brothers in Christ. Asecond Saturday of the month, it is also OLOL's Baptismal Instructions Saturday, for the parents and godparents of infants and children, under age 6. I am conducting the session today, as Fr. Pius led it in May. Then it is back to finetuning and practicing delivery of my four month, overdue, 'State of the Parish' Address 2011..........More Later As I Tweak And Put It In Delivery Order, Come !!!!!!!!!!! Fr. Troy
