PROVIDING SPIRITUAL DIRECTION DURING THIS WEEK OF CHURCH VOCATIONS AWARENESS AND DISCERNMENT...........
So far, my invitation to set up a time to speak with me or Fr. Pius, or one of the Canossian Sisters, about a possible call to a Church Vocation, has not garnered a response; but then we skewer to the older and younger families, not very many of the young adult college students / university graduates demographic. Discussing a potential call to a Church Vocation, with a priest, religious sister, or brother, or a deacon, takes the readiness and courage of the young adult, to have that conversation. However, if your families and our parish communities are fulfilling their responsibilities to encourage, promote, and nurture, then prospective candidates will be more likely to surface and step forward to discern and develop a Church Vocation. As this Good Shepherd Vocations Awareness goes forward, what are you doing to make more Church Vocations happen ?.....One of the ministries as a parish priest I carry out is providing Spiritual Direction to given persons. Presently, I am doing some spiritual direction with a permanent diaconate candidate. As I firmly believe, no one hears or answers the call to a Church Vocation, with the presence and support of others, as they embrace and follow the path to ordination or consecretion...........Jesus the Good Shepherd, Help Us Answer Your Call To The Priesthood, Religious Life, and Diaconate, Fr.
