30 DAYS OF EASTER AND OUR ONGOING CATHOLIC-CHRISTIAN COMMITMENT...........
To much of the World, Easter seems an ion behind them. Yet, for us who are truly God's Easter People, and celebrate the Paschal Mystery of the Resurrection, as a Glorious 50 Days; today is the thirtieth of those fifty days, and our focus turns toward, "the Advocate", "the Sanctifier", "the Spirit", Who is the Third Person of the Holy Trinity of God. The Risen Christ Jesus, promises He will not abandon or orphan us, but will send us the Holy Spirit to be our Advocate and our Strength. The Gifts and Fruits of the Spirit, sanctify, and sustain us, with the grace to live our lives as Disciples of Catholic-Christian Faith. Parish Life is transformed by the power of the Loving God, Who through the Risen Lord, redeems us; and Who by sending us the Sanctifying Spirit, opens our hearts and minds to the horizons of New Life. Monday mornings are always high cycle days of activity, consecreting the day in the prayer, worship, and ministry, of morning Mass; and then addressing the temporalities and start up of the week decisions, that are responsiblities of priests and pastors. On this 30th Day of Easter 2011, I am carrying out the usual ritual of Monday activities and awaiting the weekly bookkeeping and collection reports, so as to know, up to the moment as we countdown the final six weeks of Fiscal Year 2010-2011, and hopefully conclude in the black...........Fr.
