3 WEEKS OF THE PASCHAL SEASON COMPLETE; HOW WELL ARE YOU BEING EASTER PEOPLE ???...........

Three weeks into our 50 Glorious Days of Easter, the annual disappearance of the Easter and Christmas Catholic-Christians, coined by the Liturgical Training Publications as, "Chreasters", is quite apparent, as only the regular, practicing, faithful parishioners are still attending Mass, less than half way through the Pasch.  We will most likely see them next at Thanksgiving and Christmas, when holiday sentimentality, or their consciences lead them back to Church.  That reality raises the pertinent question for all of us who renewed the profession of our Catholic-Christian Faith, during the Easter Triduum; How well are you bearing Faithful Witness to being Easter People ?  Attendance at Sunday Eucharist, Living Gospel Values, Fulfilling the Call of your Baptism, to Minister in and to The Church, are the distinctive marks that you and your families are fulfilling your responsibility as God's Easter People.  May the coming fourth week of the Paschal Season, and our focus on Church Vocations Awareness and Discernment, fill your hearts and homes, as well as our parish community...........Fr.  Troy
