A SUNDAY WITH 6 THERAPY SESSIONS AND HOPEFULLY MANY VISITORS AND CALLERS...........

An early start to Sunday morning wake-up call, with a 5 am nurse visit to get up and get dressed. Then I laid in bed for another 2 hours, befor getting up for my first PT appointment, in the gym, stretching and exercising, my right leg. Then it was to the Dining Room, where for the third time since Wednesday morning, my breakfast was not available, as it had not been prepared. I was given a cup of orange juice, and decided to retrurn to my room and wait for my 8:30 am OT therapy, instead of sitting there again and watch all the other patients eat their breakfasts. Additionally, my therapy schedule has been disrupted several time, in the past ten days, as my copy of the schedule has read one time for a particular therapy and the therapist's another. I started my day up in significant pain, as one of the nurses in the dark, flattened by bed completely at 5:30 am, causing my lower left back pain to increase inordinately, and by the time I got up, spreading across my back all the way to the right side, and being 6 to 7, on the 1-10 pain scale, and by 9:30 am, sitting up for two and a half hours, to 10 +. Two phone calls today to this hour, both coming just before, or during a therapy session in my bed. Rev. Fr. Dan Bollard, called from I reland just before my 11 am physical therapy. No personal visitors today, which has made the pain and the day seem much more drawn out. I am hoping to get up for dinner within the hour and recapture some positive experience before Nightfall Descends...........Fr. Troy
