THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD AND THE BLESSING OF CHURCH CANDLES 2011...........
It has been 40 Days, since Christmas Day. In our Catholic-Christian Tradition, this is the liturgical Feast of the Presentation of the Lord Jesus in the Temple. The first born son of devout Jewish parents, honored God and the Law, by presenting their infant child in the Temple. today is also Candlemas Day, the annual day of blessing, of all he candles in the Catholic Church, used for Masses, Sacraments, Prayer Services, and Devotional purposes throughout the year.....Day 8, of the current Egyptian Crisis, has beem a much more vJiolent anti Mubarak / pro Mubarak confrontation. More than 600 people are reported to have been injured; and how many have been killed. Even CNN's Anderson Cooper and his colleagues ib Cairo, were attacked and beaten by pro Mubarak protesters.....MY Rehabiltation Day 4, at SRI, in Roseville, was filled with 6 Therapy Sessions, and visits from Msgr. Ed Kavanagh, Victor Herrera, OLOL parishioner, Helen Treulufian, Msgr. Jim Murphy, Fr. Mark Richards, and phone calls from Joe Gibson, Ray Riehle, Curtis Richards, and Karin & Roger Geach. More tomorrow, with 6 Therapy Sessions and a Cat Scan...........Watching Piers Morgan Tonight, And Awaiting My Night Medications, Fr. Troy
