A BRIEF RETURN TO ORDINARY TIME...........

For the next fifty eight days, we enter the Liturgical Season of Ordinary Time.  During these eight weeks and two days, we will sojourn with Jesus through the beginnings of His Public Ministry and some of the Miracles he performed.  In today's Gospel from Mark, we hear how Jesus set about after being Baptized by John in the Jordan River, and embracing a three year Public Ministry, to personally Call followers.  He first calls four fisherman, Simon, Andrew, James, and John.  The leave their nets and families behind, and immediately answer Jesus' Call and Follow Him.  We too, are each called personally, by Name, to answer the Call to Catholic-Christian Discipleship, and to Follow Jesus the Christ.  As you pack away the high seasons of Advent and Christmas, and live the ordinary, everyday, opportrunities of 2011, during these next weeks how will who you are, and what you do, reflect the Call of Jesus Christ ?...........Onward Ordinary Time !!!!!!!!!!!,   Fr.  Troy
