THE 10TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS AND 3RD DAY OF 2011 GIVES US THE INAUGURATION OF CALIFORNIA's 39TH GOVERNOR...........
In about eleven hours, in downtown Sacramento's Memorial Auditorium, at 16th & J Strrets, the 39th Governor of California, Edmund G. "Jerry" Brown, will be inaugurated. The depth of the economic crisis, beginning with the California State Budget Deficit, means their will be no political honeymoon, only a governing marathon, of hard, difficult, and unpopular, choices to be taken and implemented. Convincing and garnering highly reluctant, painful, but required, acceptance from Californians of all partisan persuasions of deeper budget cuts, and austerity, along with significant tax increases and realigning how and what we prioritize for funding and spending. Inaugurations, are a day to celebrate confidence in our ability to effectively address the major issues and find solutions to stabilize and lead us forward and out of this cavernous fiscal abyss. Patience, Perseverance, Sacrifice, Compromise, are concepts the 37.3 million citizens of California must embrace...........Fr. Troy
