THE COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS : THE SOLEMNITY OF THE NATIVITY IS NOW LESS THAN A DAY AWAY..........

In just over and hour I will go over to the church to hear Christmas Confessions for another hour and a hour, with less than a day remaining in Advent countdown to our Catholic-Christian celebration of Christmas, the first Coming in history of the long promised Messiah, God's Redeeming Son, Jesus the Christ, over thousand years ago.  The purple vestments of our Advent anticipation will transmogrify into the gold, and white, of the Holy Birth of the Savior, denoting the pure love of God with which the Co-Eternal Son of the Heavenly Father, was born into the World in the meagerness of a manger.  OLOL's church interior took on the traditional Christmas colors of red and green, as two dozen poinsettias were placed in the sanctuary and along the window panes, causing our parish edifice of prayer, worship, and ministry, to take on an unmistakable floral festivity highlighting the altar of repose, with two larger ones on both sides of the Tabernacle, and standard sized ones,  surrounding the Creche, the Christmas Tree,  the altar of sacrifice, and the Lectern / Pulpit.  Parishioner Carol Risse, has used her expertise and economical ability to provide us with a beautiful setting for our Christmas Liturgies.........Wishing You A Happy Twenty Hour Plus Countdown to the True Arrival Of Christmas 2010 / 2011,..........Fr.  Troy
