ADVENT RECONCILIATION SERVICES LIGHTLY ATTENDED AMIDST THE SOAKING RAIN..........
Friday morning at 10:30 am and Friday evening at 6:30 pm OLOL held our Advent Reconciliation Services and the start of our Christmas Confessions. Eight penitents were present at 10:30 am and had me and three other priests available as confessors. At 6:30 pm there were twenty one penitents, with three confessors present. The rain would seem to have been the culprit causing the light turn-out, as few elderly persons attended, even the morning service, and I only scheduled a morning session after being told repeatedly the elderly parishioners will not come out after dark. I have scheduled a ninety minute Confessions opportunity this afternoon, from 3-430 pm; and two more ninety minute opportunities, Tuesday from 1:30-3 pm; and Thursday from 7:30-9 pm; so this week will tell how many come to celebrate the Sacrament, and make a worthy, grace filled, Confession for Christmas..........Fully Preparing The Way Of The Lord In Our Lives This Advent, Fr.
