THE SAINTS OF GOD IN GLORY - A COMMUNION OF HOLINESS WE ARE MEANT TO JOIN IN THE KINGDOM..........
In the 2,000 years plus of Christianity a countless multiplicity of holy women and men have heard and answered the call to Discipleship in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Call To Holiness is at the center of our livers as Disciples of Jesus the Christ. As we also believe in a Communion of Sants banded together in God's Kingdom, and commemrate the canonized saints of th Church with feast days and memorials; it is undrstandable and fitting as people of Faith, that we also include those who although are not officially canonized and declared Saints of the Universal Church, have throughout the centuries lived holy and exemlary lives as followers of Christ, thus this liturgical feast of, All Saints Day. Falling on a Monday this year it is not a Holyday of Obligation, by decree of the U.S. Bishops, but what I refer to as a, "Holyday of Opportunity". We will celebrate the Holyday it is and have 2 Masses, 8 am and 7 pm. Given the parishioners ample opportunity to present at the Eucharist today and tomorrow, I also scheduled 2 Masses for tomorrow, All Souls Day, trying to appeal to the older, retired, and less likely to come out after dark parishioners for All Souls Day with Masses at 8 am and 12 noon..........To All The Saints Who From Their Labors Rest, Honor And Praise For Your Exemplary, Holy, Faithful to God Lives, Fr.
