AN OVERVIEW OF TEMPORALITIES : MY ORIENTATION MEETING WITH THE PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL..........

Having held an orientation-overview meeting with the Parish Pastoral Council last Monday, I am having the same kind of orientation-overview meeting with the Parish Finance Council tonight. We will review the finances of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish for Fiscal Year 2009-2010, that concluded on June 30, and discuss the projected parish budget for Fiscal Year 2010-2011, which began this month, simultaneous with the start of my pastorate.....The Parish Finance Council Meeting lasted for one hour and twenty minutes as we reviewed and revised the current 2010-2011 Parish Budget for accurate projections of expected income and expenses. Members Dave Quinn and Ken Barrows were present and the third member away this week. We discussed the need to retain a parish grounds keeper and decided we will ask for bids of those seeking the position and then choose from them. It was a good first meeting regarding the temporal resources of OLOL and I feel we will take things forward nicely teamed together..........In The Spirit Of Good Stewardship, Fr. Troy
