EASTER SUNDAY : CHRIST IS RISEN ! ALLELUIA ! HE IS TRULY RISEN !! ALLELUIA ALLELUIA !!..........

12 Baptisms, 8 Receptions into the Catholic Church, 20 Confirmations, 8 Confessions, and 20 First Eucharists, were celelebrated on Holy Saturday at Sacred Heart Church in East Sacramento as we kept the nightwatch of the Resurrection at the Mother of all vigils, the Easter Vigil Service last night. Msgr. Walton, presiding as Pastor, and me concelebrating, we were joined by Bishop Emeritus Francis Anthony Quinn, who conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation upon the twenty Catechumens and Candidates, after Msgr. Walton baptized twelve of them and received eight others into the Church. The Service of Light, Litrurgy of the Word, and Sacraments of Initiation, culminated in the Liturgy of the Eucharist, in the two hour Easter Vigil Mass.....This morning I presided at the 8 am and 9:30 am Easter Sunday Masses and then shared Easter Brunch with Teres and Mike Mugnaini, along with their children Chris, Lauren, Alex, and Teres' mother, Ramona Bugatto, and Chris' girlfriend, Claire. At 7:30 pm I am celebrating the Easter Sunday Mass in my native parish of St. Rose on Franklin Blvd. To all my faithful friends and loyal blog readers, my best wishes for a Happy and Blessed Easter.
